Worksite Wellness Mission Statement

To promote and support the development of and participation in comprehensive Worksite Wellness programs in the Durango community and La Plata County.

Stategies:

Select two evidenced-based Worksite Wellness programs, such as WELCOA and Small Business Wellness Initiative, that subcommittee can recommend to local businesses
Educate and recruit Durango/La Plata County employer’s in developing and implementing a comprehensive Worksite Wellness program
Present local Worksite Wellness Conference to all interested local businesses that will help them start and sustain a Worksite Wellness program

The Worksite Wellness committee is currently working on several projects including:

Implementing survey to local businesses regarding interest in and type of programs wanted for employee wellness program
Organizing and promoting Worksite Wellness Conference to be held 11/1/07 at Fort Lewis College Student Memorial Lounge (for more information please contact Jeanine at 749-5630 or jjustice@sucap.org).
